I’m Cindy Wu — a doctoral nurse practitioner and certified wound care specialist. For more than a decade I’ve cared for patients with chronic, surgical, and non-healing wounds, nearly a decade of it inside one of the country’s leading hospital wound programs. It taught me a hard truth: the most stubborn wounds don’t just need advanced therapy. They need time, consistency, and one clinician who stays with you.
I saw the same story play out again and again — patients waiting weeks to be seen while wounds worsened, elderly patients enduring hard transport for a fifteen-minute visit, families left to navigate a fragmented system on their own.
