Everything you need to know about how Wound Concierge works — care, memberships, billing, and getting started. Don’t see your question? Call or text us any time.
Wound Concierge is a concierge medical practice that brings advanced wound care, primary care, urgent care, and longevity services directly to you — in your home or by telehealth. Care is delivered hands-on by Cindy Wu, DNP-FNP, with Venita Chandra, MD, a vascular surgeon, as Medical Director. No waiting rooms, no rushed visits, and a care team that knows your full story.
Adults recovering from surgery or injury, people living with chronic or non-healing wounds (diabetic, vascular, pressure), older adults who prefer care at home, post-hospital patients, athletes and active adults focused on recovery and performance, and families who want a dedicated clinician for everyday health.
Traditional care is reactive: short visits, rotating providers, and long waits. We keep our patient panel deliberately small so the same doctoral-prepared nurse practitioner cares for you at every visit, with time to do it properly — and we come to you. Home health agencies typically require homebound status and physician orders; we don’t.
No. You can reach out directly — we’ll evaluate your needs, and when specialist input or orders are needed, we coordinate that for you.
Absolutely. We work alongside your existing physicians and specialists, share records with your permission, and coordinate care so everyone stays on the same page. Members also receive expedited access to our network of specialists.
Every patient starts with a free virtual consultation — a short, exploratory phone or video call on a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. You can show us the wound live on camera if you like — the call isn’t recorded, and we keep only the information we need to follow up with you. There’s no obligation. If we’re the right fit, we schedule your first in-home visit ($350, or included with membership): a thorough assessment — wound evaluation, health history, medications — and a clear, written plan of care.
No. You can book a single visit at $350 — no membership required. Memberships are for people who want ongoing, fully managed care: priority scheduling, regular visits, labs, and a provider who knows them well. Many patients start with a single visit and join later.
Gold suits steady, ongoing wound and primary care. Platinum adds more frequent visits, pain management, an annual physical, and peptide therapy. Diamond is our highest level of care — weekly visits, unlimited telehealth, executive-level diagnostics, and 24/7 provider access. Not sure? Book a free consultation and we’ll help you choose.
Yes — memberships are month-to-month (or annual with two months free) and you can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel with 30 days’ notice. No long-term contracts.
Wherever you are — your home, office, or by telehealth. In-person visits are included within 15 miles of our Atherton office; visits 15–45 miles away include a $75 travel fee, and beyond 45 miles we arrange care personally.
Members receive priority scheduling — typically same or next day. For pay-per-visit patients we do our best to see you promptly, seven days a week.
Members can reach their provider directly — during business hours on Gold, extended hours on Platinum, and 24/7 on Diamond — for urgent concerns, with virtual or in-person urgent visits as the situation requires. For life-threatening emergencies, always call 911 first; we are not a substitute for emergency care.
We operate on a direct-pay model and do not bill insurance. That’s deliberate — it means no denials, no approvals to wait on, and no rushed visits. You always know the cost up front.
Often, partially — we provide detailed invoices and supporting paperwork (superbills) you can submit to your plan for out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement depends entirely on your plan and its out-of-network benefits, and we can’t promise that your plan will pay or how much.
Many patients do, and we’re glad to provide itemized receipts. Eligibility depends on your plan’s rules and on how a given charge is treated for tax purposes — membership fees can be handled differently from individual visits — so please confirm with your plan administrator or tax advisor before you rely on it. We can’t give tax advice or guarantee that a particular charge qualifies.
No — your membership or visit price is the price. There are only two possible additions, and both are quoted up front, before you book: a travel fee for visits beyond 15 miles, and, on pay-per-visit bookings only, a late-cancellation charge equal to the visit fee if you cancel, reschedule, or aren’t available with less than 24 hours’ notice. Visits included in a membership never carry a cancellation charge.
Book a free virtual consultation — a short phone or video call — or call or text us. We’ll answer anything, with no pressure.
